Mr. S. Padmanabhan is appointed as Chairman on the board of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited(TCE) with effect from 23 January 2016. He is a Member of the Remuneration & Nomination Committee and the Committee on Mergers & Acquisitions at TCE. He is also the Chairman of the TCE CSR Committee. Mr Padmanabhan serves on the board of Ecofirst(a subsidiary of TCE), Infiniti Retail and Associated Building Co. Ltd.
A stalwart in the Tata Group ecosystem, Mr. S Padmanabhan, as Executive Chairman, Tata Business Excellence Group (TBExG), is responsible for driving the Business Excellence journey across the Tata group of companies globally. This role, which he took on in 2014, will be integral to Group initiatives in enhancing the performance of Tata companies through diagnostics, benchmarking and sharing best practices.
His illustrious career with the Tata Group companies at senior executive positions began with Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) in 1982 and. spans over 33 years . He was Executive Director – Operations, Tata Power Company Limited since 2008, and was responsible for the profitable and sustainable operations of all thermal and hydro generation plants across India and transmission and distribution systems in Mumbai. He was also on the Boards of the operating subsidiaries of Tata Power. Prior to joining Tata Power, Mr. Padmanabhan was Executive Director, Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS). During his 26-year stint in TCS, he has held roles such as Director - HR, Head of Software Delivery Centre, Country Head of Switzerland, CEO of JV with Singapore Airlines, among others.
Mr Padmanabhan's wide international portfolio as a senior executive on a global platform encompasses project management, customer management and diverse, global, workforce management. Notable among the several global assignments over the past two decades is the lead role he played during the TCS IPO. He has also represented TCS in several external forums.
He has a distinguished academic record in the technical and management domain from reputable institutions. He is a Glaxo Marketing Scholar Medalist, a Distinguished Alumnus from IIM Bangalore, and a Gold Medalist and a Distinguished Alumnus from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He is also a life member of CSI, Senior Member of IEEE.
Ms. Neera Saggi is inducted as Independent Director on the Board of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited with effect from 13th February, 2015. Ms Saggi has a 34 year career span with experience covering both public and private sectors. As a member of Indian Administrative Service, she worked within the government with multiple stakeholders and in different sectors including ports, SEZs, and areas of export promotion, textiles, area administration and rural development. At L & T, Ms. Saggi was the Chief Executive of L&T Seawoods Pvt. Ltd., a US$ one billion infrastructure and real estate project.
Ms. Saggi has rich experience in formulating and implementing national and state level strategies, programs and public private partnerships. As the President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) for the year 2013-14, Ms Saggi was the first woman to be so elected in 177 years history of this oldest Chamber in the country. Ms. Saggi is associated with Boards of several companies, non-profit organizations and associations. She has a Masters Degree in English Literature from University of Delhi and a Masters in Business Administration.
Mr. Amit Sharma is MS in Mechanical from Arizona State University and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Surat. Mr. Amit Sharma was joined TCE as Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer of the Company on 4th July, 2012. He is appointed as Managing Director, TCE w.e.f. 27 Sept 2015. He is a member of the Committee on Mergers & Acquisitions at TCE and also serves as a Director on the board of Ecofirst Services Limited.
He has more than 18 years of experience in various industries and prior to joining TCE, he was the Resident Director and Head of W S Atkins India Private Limited. He had also worked with other leading Companies like Infosys and Tata Motors.
Mr. P K Ghose is appointed as Additional Director on the board of TCE with effect from 13th May 2016.
Mr Ghose's illustrious career began with Tata Steel in 1973 where he rose up to the key position of Chief Financial Controller (Corporate) and later Chief of Strategic Finance. During his stint at Tata Steel he served on the boards of several companies including Tata Yodogawa, Stewarts & Lloyds of India and Tata Pigments.
Mr. Ghose moved from the steel industry to the chemical industry and joined Tata Chemicals Limited (TCL) as CFO in 2002. At TCL, Mr. Ghose played a role in the acquisitions of Hind Lever Chemicals (a subsidiary of the then Hindustan Lever Ltd), the joint venture in Morocco with OCP and Chambal Fertilisers, the Brunner Mond Group of UK with its 100% subsidiary Magadi Soda in Kenya, General Chemicals of USA and British Salt. These acquisitions involved close to USD 2 billion financing arrangements and has catapulted Tata Chemicals' ranking as the world's second largest manufacturer of soda ash.
Mr. Ghosh presently serves on the board of several companies such as, Infiniti Retail Limited & AirAsia (India) Private Limited where he is Chairman of Audit Committee, Indo Maroc Phosphore S. A and Tata Services Ltd.
He has also held Directorships at NELCO Limited as Chairman of Audit & Nominations, HR & Remuneration Committees & Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd as Chairman of Audit Committee.
Mr. Ghose is renowned for his subject matter expertise and has received several recognitions such as CFO of the Year (Cost Optimisation) in 2003, CFO of the Year (Deal of the Year) in 2006, and CFO of the Year (Best Deal in M&A category) in 2009, by CNBC TV18.
He is a member of the National Council of CII and Co-Chairman of CII National Committee on Taxation, The CFO Board, the CFO Forum of International Market Assessment India Private Limited (IMA) and Association of Finance Professionals of India (AFPI).
Ms Hema Ravichandar is a Strategic HR Advisor with about 33 years of industry experience spanning the areas of Human Resources Development, Corporate Governance, Change Management, Leadership & Management Development, Diversity and Anti-Sexual Harassment Initiatives. She currently advises several Indian and multinational corporations and is on the Board of some companies.
Hema, until 2005, was the Senior Vice-President and Global Head of Human Resources for Infosys Technologies and Member of the Board, Infosys Australia. In this capacity she designed and drove the HR agenda for Infosys globally, as it scaled up from 250 employees in 1992 to 40,000 employees in 2005. Under her HR Leadership, Infosys won several 'Best Employer of the Year' awards in India and was placed in the Top 100 rankings, overseas. She was with Motor Industries Company Limited – MICO, a subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH between 1983 and 1992.
She has won several awards and accolades including three HR Professional of the Year Awards and listings amongst the "25 Most Powerful Women in India" and "Successful Women Professionals in IT".
Hema has held positions in industry bodies including serving on the National Executive Board of NHRDN and chairing The Conference Board, USA's HR Council for India. Hema is also a Managing Committee Member of the Non-Executive Directors in Conversation Trust (NEDICT). She has also been on several award juries.
Ms. Hema is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
