Empowering Communities, Enriching Lives

Empowering Communities, Enriching Lives

By building essential infrastructure for underprivileged communities, we aim to transform lives and uplift living standards. Leveraging our engineering expertise and partnerships with clients, NGOs, and the Tata Group, we’ve delivered impactful projects across India. To date, we have established facilities such as RCC wells, farm ponds, jalkunds, check dams, RCC rainwater harvesting tanks, solar pumps, solar grids, and renovated school infrastructure in ten hamlets adopted by TCE in Maharashtra. Additionally, we have constructed over 2,800 toilets in Gujarat and assisted in rebuilding essential infrastructure, including schools, colleges, weaving centres, and anganwadis in Uttarakhand. We are also committed to environmental sustainability, and organise regular tree plantation drives to promote a greener and more resilient future.

Restoring Dignity and Empowering Lives

Restoring Dignity and Empowering Lives

We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for economically and socially disadvantaged communities. Our sustainable livelihood programmes focus on supporting scheduled tribes within these areas, while also extending our compassion to the elderly, orphaned children, and individuals with disabilities through dedicated volunteer efforts. Our initiatives aim to empower communities by fostering financial independence. To date, we have invested in comprehensive training programmes in kitchen gardening, horticulture, oil extraction, and floriculture. Additionally, we have cultivated over 50 acres of farmland, enabling farmers to achieve improved yields and sustainable agricultural practices.

Fostering Healthy Communities

Fostering Healthy Communities

The health and hygiene of a community are vital indicators of its overall development. In tribal areas, the scarcity of water and lack of sustainable income have led to significant malnutrition and hygiene challenges. We are actively raising awareness about health and hygiene while supporting vegetable farming to enhance nutrition and promote self-sufficiency.

To take a proactive approach, we organise regular health and eye camps, providing essential medications to villagers. We also train young men and women to conduct basic medical checks, equipping them to offer emergency assistance when needed. These young health workers play a crucial role in our health camps and awareness sessions within the community.

Specialised awareness sessions for women and children emphasise the benefits of consuming local foods and understanding the nutritional value of various items. These sessions include mini cooking classes, teaching them healthy recipes to foster better eating habits.

Recently, we have embraced the challenge of eradicating cataracts and alcohol addiction within our hamlets. We conduct regular awareness sessions and counselling on the dangers of addiction, alongside cataract screening camps for the elderly.

Our employee volunteering initiatives encompass various impactful activities, including:

  • Cleanliness drives – beach cleaning, riverfront clean-ups, garden restoration, and lake cleaning post-Ganpati immersion, as well as plogging and trash collection during treks.
  • Blood donation camps to support cancer patients and those in need.
Shaping Futures, Empowering Youth

Shaping Futures, Empowering Youth

We believe education is the key that unlocks potential and drives economic growth. Our initiatives focus on providing knowledge to children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. To date, we have implemented several transformative actions:

  • School on Wheels – This innovative programme aims to deliver primary education to children of migratory workers, preparing them for regular schooling. In partnership with Doorstep School, Pune, TCE has converted a school van into a mobile classroom, offering tuition to children of contract and construction workers living in makeshift shelters. The initiative targets enrolling young children in municipal schools by providing essential preparatory education, especially for those without any formal training.
  • Youth Employability – We organise career counselling, industrial visits, and AutoCAD training to equip our youth with the skills necessary for job security.
  • Skill Development program for night school students – Our job-oriented training programmes empower night school students by offering courses in fashion design, air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance, plumbing, automotive repair, general duty assistance, 3D design and printing, computer applications, hardware and networking, and VFX multimedia. Our goal is to secure placements for at least 70% of participants.
  • Awareness sessions – We conduct regular sessions on pressing issues such as climate change, waste management, Swachh Bharat, plastic usage and disposal, road safety, and site safety, ensuring our communities are informed and understand the impact of these challenges.
  • Making Learning Fun – Thanks to our talented employees, we have transformed hundreds of classrooms into vibrant learning environments through art. To keep students engaged, we organise speech and quiz competitions, and in some clusters, we have introduced remedial classes for underprivileged students in municipal schools.
