Bhandup is host to one of Asia’s largest Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), boasting a constructed capacity of 1900 MLD. This comprehensive project encompasses 8 pumping stations ranging from 360 to 2200 MLD capacity. TCE played a pivotal role by providing design engineering, construction review, and monitoring services to MCGM for the entire undertaking.

The distribution of water throughout Mumbai involves a sophisticated system comprising reservoirs and transmission mains. To efficiently convey water within the city, a network of 7 underground tunnels, with diameters ranging from 3 to 3.6 meters and a total length of 12 km, has been established.

A notable feature of the Mumbai Water Supply project is the incorporation of Telemetry and SCADA systems, offering advanced capabilities for monitoring, control, and data acquisition. This technological integration enhances the overall efficiency and management of the water supply infrastructure in the city.
