My land is on top of a hill, furthest from
here. Earlier, I used to carry water up the
hill to water the dry land. Now, because
of the solar powered pump, water is
pumped all the way up there. We never
imagined it would be possible for water
to reach so high up. The whole village has
benefitted from the solar pump.

The self help group has been a big
help. We save money through the self
help group; once a week we contribute
some money. It is deposited in the bank
and when we need money it is loaned
to us. We also manage our village affairs
through the ‘sanstha’.

Water has come closer home. Earlier,
